Connect your WhatsApp number
In the dashboard sidebar, click "Connect WA" → "Add Number". A QR code appears. Open WhatsApp on your phone → three dots (⋮) → Linked Devices → Link a Device → scan the code.
💡Your phone needs internet while scanning. The connection stays active in the background.

Connect your WooCommerce store
Click "WooCommerce" in the sidebar. Enter your store URL (e.g. mystore.com) and click "Connect Store". You'll be redirected to your WordPress admin — just click Approve.

Customise your message templates
After connecting, you'll see ready-made templates for Order Confirmed, Processing, Shipped, Delivered, Cancelled, and Refunded. Click Edit on any template and change the text. Use {{customer_name}}, {{order_id}}, and {{total}} to personalise.
💡Keep messages short and friendly. Include the order number so customers can reference it.

Toggle on the messages you want
Each message type has an ON/OFF toggle. Most stores turn on Order Confirmed and Order Completed. Toggle OFF anything you don't need.

Enable Abandoned Cart Recovery
Click "Abandoned Cart" in the sidebar and toggle it ON. Set a delay — we recommend 1 hour. Customise the recovery message. Washoot automatically detects when a customer leaves without paying and sends a WhatsApp nudge.
💡Abandoned cart recovery typically recovers 10–20% of lost sales. Set delay to at least 30 minutes.

Place a test order
Place a test order on your WooCommerce store using a phone number that has WhatsApp. Within seconds, that phone will receive a WhatsApp message. You're live!
