STEP 01
Create your Washoot account
Go to washoot.com and click Sign Up. Enter your phone number and create a password. You'll be taken to your dashboard.
💡Use the same phone number you want to send WhatsApp messages from.

STEP 02
Connect your WhatsApp number
In the dashboard, click "Connect WA" in the sidebar. Click "Add Number" and scan the QR code with your WhatsApp — just like WhatsApp Web.
💡Your phone needs internet while the QR code is shown. The connection stays active even when your phone screen is off.
STEP 03
Connect your WooCommerce store
Click "WooCommerce" in the sidebar. Enter your store URL (e.g. mystore.com) and click "Connect Store". You'll be redirected to your WordPress dashboard to approve access — just click Approve.
💡You need to be logged in to your WordPress admin before clicking Connect Store.

STEP 04
Set up your message templates
After connecting, you'll see message templates for Order Confirmed, Shipped, Delivered, and Cancelled. Edit each message to match your brand voice. Use variables like {{customer_name}} and {{order_id}} for personalisation.
💡Keep messages short and friendly. Include the order number so customers can reference it.
STEP 05
Enable the templates you want
Toggle ON the order events you want to send messages for. Most stores enable Order Confirmed and Order Completed. You can disable Cancelled and Refunded if you prefer to handle those manually.

Test with a real order
Place a test order on your store. Within seconds, your customer (or yourself, if you used your own number) will receive a WhatsApp message. That's it — you're live!

Connect your Shopify store
Click "Shopify" in the sidebar. Enter your store URL (e.g. mystore.myshopify.com) and click "Connect Store". You'll be redirected to Shopify to approve the connection — click Install.
💡Make sure you're logged in to Shopify as an admin before connecting.

Customise your messages
After connecting, edit the message templates for Order Confirmed, Fulfilled, and Cancelled. Add your store name, emojis, and personalisation variables to make messages feel human.

STEP 05
Enable abandoned cart recovery
Click "Abandoned Cart" in the sidebar. Toggle it ON, set your delay (e.g. 1 hour after abandonment), and customise the recovery message. Washoot will automatically detect abandoned checkouts and message customers.
💡Set the delay to at least 30 minutes — customers often come back on their own within that window.

Go live
Place a test order on your Shopify store. You'll receive a WhatsApp message within seconds. Your store is now sending automated WhatsApp messages to every customer.

Common questions
Do my customers need WhatsApp?
Yes — WhatsApp messages can only be received on a phone with WhatsApp installed. Most customers in India, Southeast Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East already use WhatsApp daily.
Will my WhatsApp number get banned?
Washoot uses human-like delays and daily warm-up limits to minimise the risk. We send messages gradually — starting at 20/day and increasing over 3 weeks. No tool can guarantee zero risk, but our approach is designed to mimic genuine usage.
What if a customer replies to the WhatsApp message?
Replies go to your WhatsApp number directly. You can reply manually from WhatsApp on your phone, or enable the AI Chatbot in Washoot to handle common questions automatically.
Can I connect multiple stores?
Yes — connect as many WooCommerce and Shopify stores as you want. Each store can use the same or different WhatsApp numbers.
